Hotel Lobby in Sicily with the new concept of ‘Sabbia Bianca’ and Covet Lighting pieces!
‘Sabbia Bianca’ is a new concept for an Italian hotel lobby designed by Maelina Ortié. Inspired by the colors and vibes of Mondello beach, the resort’s lobby has an open space that brings the brightness of the sun and the freshness of the sea inside, allowing people a seamless transition from the beach to the hotel lobby.
The feet are still full of sand, when we step into the foyer and are confronted with the imposing and powerful presence of the iconic Newton Chandelier, from Boca do Lobo, rich in walnut texture, a true lighting statement piece in this hotel lobby. The Newton Chandelier is a unique handcrafted piece that reflects the best of Portuguese metalwork, authenticating Boca do Lobo’s core values and ethos.
With a circular opening in the center, allowing the sun to illuminate the palm trees, we can observe the reception area, with a clear emphasis on the two lighting pieces, designed by Masquespacio for Covet Collection. They are Branch Lamps Standing and Marble Table Lamp Big, whose curvilinear design reveals a combo of irreverence and elegance, which every hotel lobby should have.
The second living area has a more classic appeal, up to mid-century, but never ceasing to be minimalist and suitable for the room itself. The new pieces from Covet Collection, created by Masquespacio, leave their mark once again, this time through Marble Table Small, representative of an ode to earth.
Outside, there is also a reserved area, dedicated to a modern classic hallway, in which Vertigo Console, from Luxxu, and Niku Wall Lamp, by Brabbu, make up the respective statement pieces in this hotel lobby. Part of the Kiribati islands group, Nikumaroro is known for its incredible coral atoll. It’s the beauty of its corals that make Niku Wall Lamp a rarity in contemporary lighting. Featuring a structure in gold plated brass and shaders in gold plated brass and glass, this double sconce will fill any home decor with exoticism.
